Our faithful ladies from Schreiber were here to play bridge and our residents had looked forward to this afternoon, so thank you ladies. We welcomed back a good friend of Birchwood Terrace this past week, Pam Jones, who has been away on a visit to England, where she had an enjoyable time. Good to have you back, Pam. Welcome home. I guess we can all take heart here, as _ our maintenance department has been busy repairing and painting our outdoor ' furniture, - getting it all ready for us to use. It sure looks nice. Just as good as new. We were all very sad this week due to the death of one of our sweet little ladies, Lea Cormier, who passed away in hospital on April 8. She was always smiling and dearly loved by both residents and staff. We shall miss her and her smiling face. Vaya Con Dios, Lea. Go with God. . Our craft room is getting busy with orders for flowers, more weddings ... well, it keeps us busy. I trust you all watch channel 13 on TV and read the advertisements for dif- ferent community events, so let's all help and support these events. They are worthwhile. There was a meeting here at Birchwood of the newly formed Ladies Friendship Club. They have some very good ideas which should be pursued. Besides an exchange of ideas, it also gives you a chance to make new friends. So watch channel 13 for future meetings. Do come out and enjoy an afternoon of friendship.
