Squash and Racquetball Leagues The leagues for both Squash and Racquetball are both going well but there are some members who have not completed their games in the Round Robin Tournament which began in November. We would like to recommend that these members try to finish these games as soon as possible so that the next tournament can com- mence. Call the office to- day if you are not sure which members. you still have to play against. In case of shift work, etc. you are allowed to book courts for this tournament in advance. Table League The Recreation Commit- tee is trying to interest the community in taking part in a Table Top Hockey Tour- nament. May we suggest that you enter this league which will run for ten weeks, one night per week. There will be a very nominal fee required and you can entertain yourself with Cribbage, Darts etc. while you are waiting your turn to play the Hockey Game. Programs: The programs presented by the Recreation Commit- tee are going very well but there is room for more registration in the follow- ing programs. Art From The Oven (Donna Mikeluk) This course had to be cancelled before Christmas due to lack of registration. The next dates set for this course will be February 7 and 8, Friday, 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Body Basics (Wendy Landry) _ We still have room for a few more registrations in this exercise class which takes place Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sorry there will be no baby sitting pro- vided in this session of the Body Basics. This is a very excellent class to enroll in and you will find it very pleasurable to work out to contemporary music with a controlled impact aerobics and relaxation techniques, which will leave you men- tally and physically stimulated and refreshed. Crochet for Beginners (Joyce Gilmore) There are several open- ings in this course which will commence on February 5 to March 12, Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Learn the basic techniques of Crochet and be able to read a pattern to complete a project. Cross Country Skiing (Roger Lanthier) The adult class for Cross Country Skiing has had to be cancelled due to lack of registration. We will still be taking names of those really interested so that another class may be determined. There are still more openings in the Youth Cross Country Skiing Course which will be determined on what date as soon as the class is full. Jazz Dancing (Angela Prince) This course will be of in- terest to all those young people who have envied so- meone else's dancing. The course is open to all those ages 12 years and up who would like to learn a jazz technique. Starting date for snow built driveway? Stitchery, weaving, puppets are a few of the many crafts the children will make under the supervision of an ex- cellent instructor. Starting date is January 27 to March 3, 7 to 9 p.m. Call the of- fice today to register your child. General Makeup: (Aggie Iwanczyk) The participants of this course will learn their skin types and the proper techniques for applying makeup. This course will be open to teens or women. Commencing date will be January 28 and continue on February 4 and February Ly. Microwave Courses (Carolyn Cotton) We will be having two Microwave courses this spring around March Ist. We will be presenting more information on _ these Gourmet Adult class and Youth Microwave course in future editions of this paper. Photography (Pat Marcella) There are a few open- ings in this course which will show the participant how to use a 35 mm camera with emphasis on the use of- creative filters and flash systems. The use of various lens will also be shown.
