It sure is nice to be back here at Bir- chwood, and able to once more try and get my col- umn out for this paper, so here goes. Last Friday, Oct. 4th we had our Open House, the weather was not so good but some folks did not let this stop them. I understand some came from Geraldton, and we were happy to see them, I am sure all our visitors en- joyed their visit through our Home and were able to see for themselves the good care we get here and also how bright and clean our Home is. So on behalf of the residents I would like to say "'Thank you"' for com- ing and we hope to see you again some time. Well I suppose soon you will be busy with all your winter sports and before we know it, Christmas shopping. I know it's still over 2 months away, but "time flies" and you have more of a choice when you shop early, so "a word to the wise". As I have not been able to. get around, my news is scarce, here at Bir- chwood we are now look- ing into magazines, etc. for ideas on making Christmas decorations, we have a nice crafts room here and some of the residents enjoy working with our hands, besides it is a great past time. I have no real bites at this time but with the winter sports time almost here, please permit me.on behalf of the residents here to ask all you folks who drive snow machines, en- - joy yourselves but please do not use the Home's backyard to race through and make all kinds of noise late at night. I am sure with a bit of co-operation, you can enjoy your sport and we can enjoy our rest. I: hope I won't have to write about this anymore, thank you. And now for those of you who have a hair pro- blem, either you have none or are losing it take heart, God made only a_ few perfect heads, he put hair on the rest. Until next week, Via Con Dias.
