All groups who use the facili- ty or on a regular weekly basis are required to submit their request by August' 26th. Get together with your group and decide ice requirements your team or league will require. Fall Fair: The 4th Annual Fall Fair is scheduled for September 15th from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Response to date is absolutely unbelievable. There is no doubt that the. entire surface will be oc- cupied by different displays this year. There are also numerous new displays this year. The Theme, '"'Year of Youth". Remember the Top Three Best Decorated Booths will be awarded plaques. If you are in- terested don't delay call us today at 825-3542. Due to space limitation we can on- ly accept so many exhibits. We hope you will be one of these this year. Pool: : The swimming pool will come to a close on Friday August 23rd. Lessons con- clude on August 16th therefore on August 19th, 20, 22, 23, there will be Public Swim in the morn- ing from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. Family Swim 1:00 - 2:09 p.m. on these days as wel Regular Public Swim 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Please notice on August 21st the pool will be closed to Public in order to accommodate the North Shore Recreation Direc- tor's Fun Day at the site. Tot Lot: The Tot Lot Wind Up is scheduled for August 21st for the entire family. Watch next week's paper and for poster advertising this event. It's for the Entire family!!!! : The Tot Lot (5 and 6 yr. olds) trip to the beach was a huge success and we couln't have asked for nicer weather. Aaron, Erin, Sylvie, Cory, Sasha, Shauna, Amber and the four leaders enjoyed the walks along the beach, watermelon, Koolaid and finished the day with a water balloon fight. A ' great time was had by all. The next major event is for the 7 - 12 year olds. It is an overnight camping trip at Rainbow Falls Provin- cial Park on August 15th to August 16th. Ac- cording to organizer Chris Joubert, the derby was a big success. "We are hop- IT! ing that with the great response this year from sponsors and kids, that next year will be even better,"' said Joubert. The derby featured a Casting Contest, broken down into two age groups, categories for Pike, Pickerel, Lake Trout and Speckled Trout, as well as _a raffle for a bicycle. The winner of the bicy- cle raffle was 4-year-old Erika Engler of Terrace Bay. The winners in the various categories are listed below.
