Terrace Bay Sports Travelcade: The Mobile Sports Library is in Town now situated at the Recreation Centre. The Open hours are Ju- ly 10th, 11th and 12th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Come out and ask the representatives for any information you may be looking for in the field of Sports. Slow Pitch Men's Ball Tournament: The registration for the for Tournament is coming in quite readily. You must have your registration fee by July 12th in order to be eligible for the tournament. The First 16 Teams paid will be accepted ONLY. A job of any sort will not on- ly put some cash in your DEATH CAMPBELL --M. Joseph Campbell age 67 years of Rossport passed away in a Thunder Bay Hospital on Sunday June 30th, 1985. He was a lieutenant in the R.A.F. and R.C.AF., member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.223 and former employee of Kimberly Clark. Sur- vived by his wife Frances, daughter Diane and her husband Eric Pyhtila of Terrace Bay, Mary Claire and husband Frank Dix of West Palm Beach Aorida, son Joe of Rossport, daughter. Joan and husband Gord Smith of Terrace Bay. Grandchildren Eric, Erica, Andrea and Joanna Pyhtila, Nicole, Andrew and Christopher Dix. Sister Lucien Levis of Thunder Bay brother Armand of Montreal and sister Madeline Antille of London. Nieces and nephews also survive. Rested at the King Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday July 3rd 1985 at St. Ber chman's R.C. Church Rossport. Interment adjoining cemetery. Rick St. Croix will be the goaltending coach for the first session July 29-August 3. Rick has played with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Philadelphia Flyers during the past number of years. He was a student of Jac- ques Plante, the Hall of Fame goalie and con- tributes much of his knowledge to him. Norm Maclver is another welcome addition who will be teaching at the first two. sessions, July 29-August 3 and August 5-10. Norm, a Western Collegiate Hockey Association All-star and member of the UMD Bulldogs of Duluth is entering his fourth year of school. He also has had ex- cellent coaching especially when he played for Dave King, Canada's Olympic Coach, in West Germany and in the Moscow Dynamo game in Thunder Bay. Dave Bruce will also line up as an instructor Ju- ly 29-August 3 and August 5-10. Dave, as well as Norm is a graduate of the Thunder Bay Junior Kings of 1981-82 but each went separate directions after- ward. Dave starred with the Memorial Cup finalist Kitchener Rangers, was drafted by Vancouver in the second round and played his first season of professional hockey with Fredericton of the A.H.L. last year. Walt Poddubny will be a full time instructor in this year's program. He also will be available during the first half of August. Walt has played with the Toron- to Maple Leafs over the past 3 years and holds the Leaf record for number of goals-by a rookie. Paul Mitchell will be joining the goaltending staff along with Rick St. Croix and Dan Moro. Paul played minor and junior hockey in Thunder-Bay and later attended Colorado University on a scholar- ship. He has coached at the minor and junior levels and has instructed in goalten- ding schools in Minnesota and Southern Ontario. July 15, 1985. NOTICE P.O. Your assistance was great- ly appreciated. Schreiber Youth Drop-In Youth drop-in got off to a great start on July 2nd. Thirty-four kids came out to enjoy crafts, basketball, badminton, floor hockey, and board games. A sleepover will be held at the Recreation Centre on July 10th. Registration forms may be picked up at the Youth Drop-in Office. Watch for other events to be announced in the near future. The Youth Centre will be open Monday to Friday, 11:00 to 4:30. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the Drop-in will be closed from 1:00 to 3:00 while the Tot Drop-in is running. This is our schedule for Centennial Week: Monday 15th: 11:00 - 4:30 Youth Drop-in for ages 8- 18. A craftroom, gamesroom and outside activities will be available. 11:00 - 4:30 Tot Drop-in for ages 4 - 8. Crafts, games and other activities will be available.
