It was the 30th Annual Ladies Bonspiel, with 25 teams taking part, 16 of them from Terrace Bay, 4 from Schreiber, 2 from Red Rock, 1 from Longlac, 1 from Thunder Bay and one team all the way from Kapuskasing. We arrived Saturday afternoon and there was a buzz of activity, with many ladies who were not on the ice preparing for the dinner and dance to follow that evening. The club was nicely decorated with Walt Disney characters, as the theme of the anniversary bonspiel was "Disney on Ice" and all participants sported Minnie Mouse name tags. It was a real community event as there were en- thusiastic spectators of all ages. The following is a rundown of the final standings: In the "'A" Event: 1st - Billy Bagdon's rink, Ter- race Bay; 2nd - Julie Johner's rink, Terrace Bay; 3rd - Charlotte Miller's rink, Thunder Bay; 4th - Linda Chur- chley's rink, Terrace Bay.
