DECEMBER 7, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS OPEN RECEPTION HONOURING GEROW'S James and Cathy Duggan. Leona Leisander and Brina Gerow entertained at an open reception honouring Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gerow who were married quietly on Friday, October 28th in St. Berchman's Roman Catholic Church in Ross- port. The reception was held in Rossport Com- munity Hall. The bridal couple have just re- turned from a honeymoon in Halifax. : The Bride wore her wedding gown of ivory coloured fortrel in princess lines. The , floor length gown had a high neckline, featur- ing chiffon sleeves appliqued in material as the dress. She wore ivory accessories and a coral rose corsage. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gerow. Mrs. Gerow wore a midnight blue floor length gown of jersey silk. The mother of the Bride, Mrs. Robert Winters chose a deep purple floor length gown of fortrel with touch -es of white trimming. Music for dancing was supplied by Mrs. ,Leisander and Mrs. Campbell. A buffet lunch- eon was enjoyed from a table draped in Irish lace cloth, centered with the top izyse of the wedding cake. During the evening, the couple were present '-ed with a shoe full of money by Mac Hubelit, on behalf of the guests present. Several relatives and friends were present from Schreiber and Terrace Bay, .as well as many from Rossport. Mr. and Mrs. Gerow are at present residing in Schreiber. ROSSPORT SOCIAL: : Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kenney left Saturday to spend the winter in the southern states and Mexico. They plan to spend the Christmas season with their son Vincent and family in Virginia. Mrs. Anne Todesco spent the past week in Thunder Bay and Kakabecka.
