WEEKLY REPORT PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF HOURS OF RECREATION CENTRE STARTING SEPTEMBER 9TH: 5 We request the' co-operation of the general public in the use of the Recreation Centre, starting September 9th. The change of hours and closing of the building is a direct re- sult of a changeover in the concessionaire. REQUEST FOR ICE TIME NOW: . As outlined in the ad on page 7, it is extremely important that groups and organiza- tions which will be using the Terrace Bay Memorial Arena on a regular basis for this season submit their requests as outlined in the ad. Any group or. organization requiring further clarification, simply call the Recrea -tion Office at 354z. TENNIS TOURNAMENT: The Terrace Bay 'Recreation Department and the Terrace Bay Tennis Steering Committee are Pleased to report that the tennis tournament is progressing very well and that the partici -pation level was fairly high. At the time of this write-up, the only games left to play were the finals in each category. Due to recent inclement weather, the finals were unable to be played on Septem -ber 5th and due to the shutdown at the Mill, the finals cannot be played on the evenings of this week. Therefore, the playoffs will be schéduled for this Sunday, September 14th. A specific schedule will be drafted and alll participants will be called to inform them of the time of their match. SWIM POOL CLOSING: : At the time of this write-up, a specific date had not yet been determined for the closing of the Terrace Bay swimming pool. The closing date of the pool will be posted at the swim pool this week. ; MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT Me. and Mus. Russ Stevens of Terrace Bay are pleased to announce the mariage of their eldest daughter, Joann ELizabeth Lo Mr. Robert Warnely Howitt, son of Mrs. Bernice Howitt of Ottawa and the Late Mr. R.B. Howitt. The wedding took place at the Parkdale fed Church in Ottawa on August 26th, EMPLOYMENT AVAILABLE WINTER CARETAKER (October 1, 1977 to March 31, 1978) The Terrace Bay Recreation Committee will accept written applications from anyche interested in this part time position. Work term is as indicated above and the rate of pay is $6.24 per hour with a .10¢ differential for evening shifts.
