Mrs. Trach's pink six received the dishwasher award as they seemed to get the most and the . messiest dishes to wash and Mrs. Saranpaa's yellow six received the broom award for the neatest and cleanest six. On staff were Dora Track, Gail Pollard = Housemothers; Ingrid Fournier - Cook; Barbara Wise - Nurse; Marilyn Saranpaa - Commandant. On the weekend of June 24 - 26 fifteen Brownies from Pack I Terrace Bay and five Brownies from Marathon attended a Pack Holiday at Three Fingers Lake, Marathon. All the Lead -ers and girls slept in tents and all had lots of fun making new friends and sharing all the chores of camp life. Three Badges - €raft, Artist and Singers along with the Holiday Badge] were worked on. Mr. and Mrs. George Bott of the Marathon Boy} Scout Group Committee, assisted in pitching the] tents and hauling drinking water in from town. Mrs. Liz Burtin, Ranger Leader, was a vis- itor during the weekend. At the close of camp a POW-WOW was held with) a singing display for the Singers Badge. 7 Brown Owl Barbara Lalonde - Nurse and Comman- dant Pam Jones presented the badges. On staff were 'Nancy Evoy - Cook-and Geraldine Belliveau Snowy Owl. It was really appreciated by all the leaders] of both camps, that so many enthusiastic par- ents volunteered to drive Brownies back and forth to Marathon and Nipigon. Brownie Leaders are needed in September. Even if you have no experience, we would wel- come you, and train you to help somewhere with- "in our movement.
