TERRACE BAY NEWS A VOL. 20 NO. 26 i JUNE 29, 1977 ; 20¢ PER COPY NO FUNDS FROM FEDERAL GOVERNMENT Mr. Jack Stokes, M.P.P., Legislative Assembly, 7 Room I95, Parliament Buildings, Toronto, Ontario. Dear Mr. Stokes: Thank you for your letter of May 3, I977 concerning the request for a contribution to the McCausland Hospital Building Fund. Members of Medical Services Branch of my department have reviewed the request for a contribution to the above-mentioned hospital on behalf of registered Indians who may use this facility. Unfortunately, the number of registered Indians who might use this facility is below the ten percent required before Medical Services can consider making a contribution to a non-Government hospital. It is unfortunate, but under the circumstances we cannot therefore support a recommendation for a contribution towards this hospital. Yours truly, (signed) Marc Lalonde Ce 'June 25- Julyl
