The Hospital Auxiliary is able to report several successful projects in the 1977 Spring Session. The Winter Carnival Bake sale ... brought in $392.70, the raffle for the Bridge Set (won by Mrs. M. Puttock of Terrace Bay) brought in $565.00 and the Annual Spring Ball made a profit of $1,283.97. We would like to thank all those who -help- ed and especially Marg Gander and Gerbachan Sidhu for convening the bake sale, Gerbachan Sidhu and Flora Bryson for organizing the Bridge Set Raffle, and Elaine Mannisto and Marg Gander for convening the Annual Spring Ball. The success of these projects plus $500.00 made by the McCausland Hospital Gift Shop allowed us to make a donation of $3000.00 to the Hospital Building Fund. Thatks for your support. WEEKLY REPORT GIRLS MINOR BALL: : At the time of this write-up, it appeared that the Recreation Office has received suffi- cient registrations to operate a two-team lea- gue for girls 7 to 12 years of age. Schedules field on Tuesday evening, May 31st. The regul- ar schedule will operate up until the last week in June. 5 : BOYS MINOR BALL: Last Wednesday evening, both the Internation way. All players are reminded to check their schedules for game times and dates. All coach- es have received keys to the equipment box in may wish to call. LADIES FASTBALL: ---- A reminder that Ladies Fastball action con- tinues every Thursday evening'at the High School field, from 6:30 to 9:30. For this coming Thursday, - June 2nd, teams 3 and 4 will play from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and teams 1 and 2 will play from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. Anyone requiring further information on the ladies league should simply call Rosemary Deutscher. THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEER COACHES AND UMPIRES IN THE MINOR BALL PROGRAMME : The Recreation Department wishes to express their sincere thanks to the following indivi- duals who have graciously volunteered their time to assist in the Mirior Ball programme. By having donated their time, this means that close to 100 boys and girls who were interested are now able to play ball.
