PAGE 10 TERRACE BAY NEWS JUNE 1, 1977 POLICE REPORT: Continued Five charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and are as follows, 1 charge of failing to wear a helmet, 2 charges of having no driver's licence, 1 charge of failing to produce a driver's licence, and one charge of failing to yield from a driveway. A serious motor vehicle collision was in- vestigated on May 29th on Highway 17 in the vicinity of Hudson Drive. Two motorcycles were in collision resulting in injuries to three local youths and extensive celebration for the children, their parents and the entire parish. The liturgy began with a | procession of the children to the seats at the front of the Church. Father Fujarczuk gave .a = special homily explaining to the children once again the significance of this day in their lives. Four of the children then read the pra-- yer intentions. MARTIN SEPARATE SCHOOL NEWS CONFIRMATION: Bishop John O'Mara from Thunder Bay conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation on fifty-two candidates at St. Martin Church on the evening of Thursday 1977 05 19. In his homily, Bishop O'Mara stressed the special type of commitment required by Christians in con- temporary society and the need to examine the problems encoun- tered in day-to-day living as" a source of personal growth -rather than as obstacles. The liturgy of the Mass was concelebrated by Bishop O'Mara, Father A. Fujarczuk and Father F.J. Meyer and the music was provided by the adult choir. A reception in the St. Martin school gym for the Bishop, can- didates, sponsors, parents and guests followed the ceremony. Congratulations to Mrs. A. Wilkes and Mr. E.
