Each member is asked to donate three prizes and there will also be a door prize. Maureen Carter will convene this. May 14th was set as the date for' the auxiliary's annual birthday party, to which other auxiliaries are invited. Georgina Davis presided for with eleven members attending. The minutes were adopted as Johnson. - Georgina Davis was named as the meeting read. by Earline one delegate held June 12 - 15 in the Red Oak Hotel, with a second delegate yet to be named. Schreiber Amxiliary won the attendance prize for auxiliaries of less than one hun- dred membership, at the District meeting. The lunch committee for the May meeting will be Gail Welbourne, Myrtle Zaporzan and Lorraine Weaver. SCHREIBER LIBRARY NEWS -------- ro ---- ---- -- -- -- ------ The Board of Trustees of the Schreiber Pub- lic Library, at their regular meeting, noted that the Italian magazines, "Nuova Cucina", "Raccolta Il Monello" and "Bella" are now arriving regularly. They ordered a three year subscription for the French magazines, "Actua-} lite", "Chatelaine" and "Macleans". It is difficult to fill the requests of the younger Finnish readers. N.W.R. Library and Interloans sent all that were available. More will be available when N.W.R. Library re- ceives their order dir .ct from Finland. Seventy-seven paperbacks were obtained through General Publishing's forty-eight hour service. Sixteen of the new Charlie Brown re- prints were ordered. Students seeking more information are urged to refer to the book of "Government Services" for addresses. : / The Board discussed ways of utilizing the space of the adult fiction section. Purchase of new shelving will be finalized 'at the next meeting. The Board approved the purchase of drapes, a children's reading table and chairs, two adult modular units and a mobile catalogue file. The problems of reprinting and rewriting local history was discussed and deferred. The library will post information on how the Louis Plumb Fund can help beginning writers.
