We encourage you to purchase your bro- chure, as quickly as possible as there is a limited supply. The purchase of a brochure will entitle you to a number of draws held several times throughout the Winter Carnival. NORTH SHORE PLAYOFFS: At the time of this write-up, the Terrace Bay Midgets had defeated the Schreiber Midgets in a semi-final series and we are now awaiting word on dates for games regarding the finals, which will feature the Manitouwadge Midgets against the Terrace Bay Midgets. SPORTS HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE: Recently two representatives from the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame held a meeting in Terrace Bay. As a result of that meeting, some local people who are interested in .developing the concept further will be calling a public meeting in the very near fu- ture to discuss same. More information on this will appear in future issues of the News COMING EVENTS: Saturday, March 12th - Hospital Auxiliary Bake Sale, to be held at the Public, School Auditorium. The contestants will be introduced- during the ceremony and each person at that time will vote and deposit the ballot in a box at the arena exit upon leaving the arena. The votes will be tabulated and the new Queen will be crowned later that. same evening. i We encourage everyone to come out Thursday night and vote for the contes- tant of your choice.
