Mr. Thompson spoke briefly to members en- couraging them to continue to work for the beautification of their own as well as public property. Our thanks to Kimberly Clark for making the above awards possible. District Director, Mr. A. Farrow, then ad- iressed the meeting explaining changes in the Act as well as many other items of interest to members. Mr. Farrow is active in bringing an interest to Birchwood Terrace in horticulture, The meeting was then turned over to the Chairman of the Nominating Committee, Mr. T. Dorland. Mr. Dorland presented a new slate of officers. At this time we need a President, lst Vice President, Secretary and one Director. Is it possible a commercial student might be interested in serving as Secretary? A Directors meeting will be held to decide on a course of action. Present officers will carry on until this time. Following adjournment lunch was served by the executive. URLING OMMENTS This coming Saturday, Dec. 6th, the Terrace Bay Curling Club will be sponsoring a Curling Clinic for anyone interested - 14 years of age and over. The Clinic will start at 1:00 p.m. and finish about 5:00p.m. This Clinic is designed to assist the no- vice curler as well as anyone who hasn't tried the game before. Curlers who have been play- ing game for a few years might also find the Clinic helpful as arrangements have been made to have a Video Tape system available which will enable the curler to see his or her own delivery. The Clinic will deal with the following catagories including off ice and on ice ses- 'sions: Basic Rules; Dress and Equipment; Score -board; Basic Strategy; Delivery; Sweeping; Etiquette and Terms. ' To date, twenty six people have registered for the Clinic. We encourage more people to sign up as no maximum has been established for the Clinic. This Clinic is offered free of charge by the Terrace Bay Curling Club as members of the Club have volunteered their time to put this Clinic on. Are you interes- ted? Sign up at the Curling Lounge.
