PAGE 6 TERRACE BAY NEWS NOVEMBER 5, I975 RECREATION DEPARTMENT WEEKLY REPORT ICE PLANT Due to problems connected with the ice plant available ice in the arena and curling rink is not definite. We ask that the general public bear with us during this unfortunate situation. All that can be done is being done to resolve the problem. Announcements will be made at the school and all participating groups will be contacted wh- enever ice is ready for use. CROSS COUNTRY SKI CLINIC In the near future, advertisements will ap- pear in the Terrace Bay News giving details of a Cross-Country Ski Clinic to be held in Terrace Bay. Those of you who have already - expressed an interest to date will be called about the Clinic. OTHER PROGRAMMES The Recreation Office is still accepting names of those who might be interested in the following programmes: Weaving (on loom), Men's Basketball, Hockey (no body-contact), Yoga. POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT During the week of October 26th a total of 27 occurrences were investigated. On October 27th a further theft of tapes from vehicles was reported. October 28th - A break in was reported at the Dentist Office. Nothing was stolen. October 28th - Damage was caused to the rear loading window of a local store. October 30th - A single vehicle accident occurred when a motorist swerved to avoid a moose. November 2nd - Pclice were called to inves- tigate an incident involving 3 juvenile girls 11 cars were safety checked with 9 warnings being issued. 3 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act.
