A tea and social time was enjoyed during the afternoon when members of other congrega- tions came to offer congratulations. The guests were welcomed by members of the Offic- ial Board. Mrs. N. Fummerton was in charge of the guest book. Convenor was Mrs. Beth Macadam, the kit- chen committee consisted of Mesdames Annie Niemi, Bern Jacomb, Myrtle Gordon, Esther Wa- lker, M. Gerow. Pouring the tea were Mr. Russ Macadam and Mr. Frank Walker. The servitors were all men, inexperienced but diligent, and much laughter was enjoyed over their service. They included William Gerow, George (Short) Scott, Jack Handel, Don Green and Pont Gordon. A special anniversary cake donated by Mrs. Judy Cameron was cut by Mrs. Ethel Marrier, former resident of Schreiber, now living in Thunder Bay. - Guests had many nostalgic moments when per- using over the numerous pictures and interes- ting scrap books of activities of by-gone days that were on display. Mememtoes of Ann- iversary plates, spoons, pens and other art- icles were sold by Mrs. W. Clemens. At the special evening service, Rev. Lloyd Ivany of St. Paul's Church, Thunder Bay was guest speaker. The Children's Hand Bell 'Ringers led by Mrs. Peter Marrier provided several musical selections which were much enjoyed by a capacity audience. : Mrs. Fummerton thanked the guests and choir for their participation. Many members of St. John's Anglican Church were in attendance. REBAKAH OFFICERS TEA: The new officers of Ruby Rebekah Lodge held their fall tea on Saturday, November lst in the Town Hall. J Mrs. Helen Wallace was cashier and the door prize was won by L.R. McCuaig. The tea was convened by Mrs. Norma Fummerton, Noble Grand and servitors were Mrs. Dora Weaver, Mrs. ce Sparkes and Mrs. W. Clemens. Kitchen committee were Mrs. Eirene Harness, Mrs, Hel- en D'Arcy, Mrs. Annie Niemi, Miss Irene Spi- cex. Home baking was sold by Mrs. Myrtle Gordon and Mrs. K. Davis. . JOHN AMBULANCE OFFICERS VISIT SCHREIBER: St. John Ambulance Officers from Thunder Bay visited Schreiber Combined Division #337 ° for their Annual Inspection, Saturday, Novem- ber 1, and Church Parade, Sunday, November 2. The inspecting party included Col. William Melbille, Provincial Staff Officer; Archie C Carriere, Provincial Staff Officer Administr- ation; George Whitefiedk, Provincial Staff Officer, Training; Mike Mintenko, Corps Sup- erintendent, Thunder Bay Corps and visitors Ron Bastone, .Corps Staff Officer; Gerald Bak- ker, Cadets Superintendent; Carl Mellerup, Divisional Officer, Retired and Susan Bakker, " Nursing Divisions Member. There was an Officers meeting prior to the dinner. Following the dinner = the annual inspec- tion of the Schreiber Division, after which Col. Melville presented Corporal Helen Dooley with her Long Service Medal, denoting twelve years efficient service in the Brigade. Corps Supt. Mike Mintenko presented Private Aurel Gauthier with his first bar denoting three years service in the Brigade. A most realistic accident scene complete with injured casualty was presented to the Division Members by the Thunder Bay Group. A round table discussion followed with Dr. M. Spacek, Divisional Surgeon, as moderator. Church Parade to Grace Baptist Church with Rev. R. Dye officiating at Sunday morning services concluded the Official Visit.
