We were half-way through pitch -ing the tents when it started to rain but we struggled through it and spent a peaceful night. The next day, a hike to the swimming beach and the falls took up most of the morn- ing. We would like to thank all of those who provided transportation and those who helped us pitch the tents in the rain. On Friday night, a Pre-teen Greaser Dance was held at the Public School gym. By a popular vote of the loudest applause, whist--- ling and yelling, Joe Kennedy was the best greaser. Donnie Bougie won the door prize. The spot dance was won by Charlene Yates and Donnie Bougie. The 7-9 year olds tried their hands at making jam on Friday. After an hour of stren -uous blueberry picking, we combined our berr- ies in one big pot and made a batch of blue- berry jam. Everyone enjoyed themselves and were delighted to take some of the jam home.
