"Mrs. Fummerton gave the Sick and Visiting report, stating that she had sent cards or flowers to Mrs. J. Fisher, Mrs. Mildred Welsh, Mrs. Myrtle Gauthier, J. Winters, F. Tuomi and Anne Etches. Mrs. Hamilton reported that the local CPT Humanitarian Committee held the- ir monthly meeting on Sunday, June Ist. A penny auction is planned for September. Mrs. Chris Morris reported on the success of the Bake Sale held on June IIth thanking all the members who had donated baking or mon- ey and those who assisted in any way. Letters of thanks to be sent to Mrs. Y. Cebrario and Mrs. C. Costa. Correspondence included letters of thanks from Miss Pearl Fadden, Mrs. Della Moore, Mrs. Emma Briscoe and Mrs. Mildred Welsh. A cheque for $50.00 was received from Schreiber Lodge #403 I1.0.0.F. as their share of the $I00. Bursary for a Commercial student in Lake Superior High School to be presented at the graduation exercises at Terrace Bay Campus on June 25th. Officers elected for the next term: - N.G. A committee was named to be in charge of the United Nations Bus Tour luncheon on Wednesday, July I6th. The Rebekah Degree was exemplified with Mrs. Glorie Miller Degree Captain in charge. Following the meeting lunch was served and a social hour enjoyed. SCHREIBER TOWN TOPICS: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sisson, Mr. and Mrs. Har- old Gellert, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shack and Mr. and Mrs. Giovanni Cebrario entertained at a round of parties last week honouring a mutual friend - Phillip Major of Nassau. One of Bill Gerow's most prized souveniers of younger days is a sterling silver pendant engraved with his name and the year 1926 when he played with the Schreiber Senators hockey team. The medal was given by the late Dr. D'Arcy McGregor, who presumably, sponsored the team. Mr. Gerow, retired railway conductor, is interested in discovering where are the other holders of these medals, some must be in Schreiber and Thunder Bay. In the Tops ON I586 Schreiber-Terrace Bay group Helen Dooley, area captain, Helen Le- Blanc, leader and members Rhea Beaulieu, Yvon- ne Leclaire, Dot Coupal and Yvonne Vienneau have returned from Ottawa where the Provincial 'Rally Day was held. The Schreiber Art Club held a special meeting before their summer recess, to elect officers for the coming year: Mrs. Simonne Bourgeois, president; Mrs. Colleen Glad, first vice president; Mrs. Bonnie Dye, second vice president; Mrs. Alice Sparkes, secretary; Mrs. Iris Lidkea, treasurer. During the social evening which followed the meeting Mrs. Rose Pyke was presented with a gift in appreciation of her work as presi- dent last year. The next meeting, with a soc- ial evening is to be held September 7th in the Art Room. ROSSPORT TOWN TOPICS: Mr. and Mrs. Don Marcottee of Kenora visit- ed Mr. and Mrs. Felix Legault recently. Messers John Baghan, of Auroa, Ont., Steve Paul of New Market, Ont. and Wray Assetstone of Peterborough, Ont. were holiday visitors here this week on a fishing trip. Neil Euball of Toronto was a business vis- itor here this week. Mrs. Eugene Legault and Mrs. Dave Mushquash were business visitors to Thunder Bay Friday.
