Assistance has been given in drugs and transportation to Thunder Bay for patients in our area. Donations to Cancer Cupboard were given from Schreiber from the Kinettes, United Church Women, and Women's Institute which all are appreciated. GOODCHILD: Funeral services were held Saturday at Pays Plat Mission for Edward Goodchild who drowned in Lake Superior during the week. The parish priest Rev. Father S. Hyrchenuk officiated for the Reqium Mass in St. Jerom- e's Roman Catholic Church at Pays Plat with interment in the family plot in St. Jerome's cemetery. The pall bearers were Protious Goodchild, Gerry Bouchard, Raymond Goodchild, Bert Moses, Billy Thompson and Peter Mushquash. From out of town to attend were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gagnon, Mrs. G. Landry, Mrs. Ron Lanigan, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Moses, Mr. and Mrs. B. Thompson of Nipigon; Peter Mushquash of Sioux Lookout; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Greer of Thunder Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Starr, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Goodchild Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Goodchild, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Moses, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moses, Mr. and Mrs. Antoine Moses, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Goodchild, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Goodchild Jr., Collette and Claud- ette Goodchild, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Desmoulin, all from Heron Bay; George Goodchild and fam- ily of Rossport. : The late Mr: Goodchild is survived by one brother Joseph Goodchild and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in the district. Sunday School at the Community Church has come to a close for the summer. i Barbara Payette, Kindergarten class teacher invited her class to her home for a little wind-up party. The Antiques presented Jerry Nagorski the Administrator to McCausland Hospital with $156.47, this is the last of the cash to be collected from the Garage Sale. The total amount was $I,600.00 for the McCausland Hos- pital Building Fund.
