PAGE 20 TERRACE BAY NEWS JUNE II, 1975 McGRATH-GRAHAM VOWS EXCHANGED - Mr. and Mrs. John McGrath who were married in St. Martin of Tours Church, Terrace Bay, May 3rd, I975 with Father Alex Greengrass officiating. The Bride is the former Catherine Jane Graham, youngest daughter of John and Cather- ine (Kay) Graham, IOI Hudson Drive, Terrace Bay. The Groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose McGrath, Schreiber. The Bride attired in a full length 'A' Line gown of Chantilly lace, buttoned down the back to the waist, long sleeves, floor length veil and train edged all around with chantilly motiffs to match the bridal gown. She carried a Giant White Chrysanthemum encircled with small Red Roses and Lily-of-the-Valley and trailing white ribbons. Cathy wore a silver bracelet her gift from the Groom. Susan Graham, Maid of Honour, Judy Graham, Bridesmaid, sisters of the Bride and Miss Wendy McMillan, Bridesmaid were all dressed in identical long gowns featuring a square neck and sleeveless design in a light shade of Forest green. Each carried a small nose- gay of yellow Shasta Daisies in tulle with trailing yellow ribbons. The little flower girl Miss Jenny Baron was dressed in a long white dress patterned with sprays of yellow flowers and dainty puffed sleeves to complete her pretty ensemble she had a small yellow flower placed in her hair. Jenny carried a small nosegay of white Shasta Daisies in tulle, with trailing yellow ribb- ons. The Church was decorated with yellow and white Carnations, white bows adorned the pews, Given in marriage by her father John Graham, Catherine looked radient as she and the Groom exchanged rings in a double ring ceremony. Mrs. Pat Buck played the organ and Michael Kelly from Eganville played the guit- ar for the wedding service. Best Man was Tyler Thompson a friend of the Groom from Thunder Bay. The ushers were the Groom's brother Morgan McGrath and the Bride's brother John Graham (Junior). The Best Man, Groom and the Bride's Father wore a white car- nation and the ushers wore a yellow carnation in their lapels. A family supper for the immediate family was held at the Bride's home. A round two tiered wedding cake made by the Bride's Moth- er was set up on a tulle and lace covered table. It was decorated with yellow Roses encircling a centre piece of white doves, flanked by tall white candles in crystal hold- ers. Vases of red and white Carnations were on the supper tables. Dining room hostesses were the Bride's aunt Mrs. Gwen Koziy from Thunder Bay and Mrs. Mary Clara Papineau a friend of the family from Terrace Bay. Tyler Thompson, Best Man gave the Toast to the Bride and the Groom, John McGrath respon- ded. Mr. Ambrose McGrath gave a Toast to the Ladies of the wedding party. A dange and reception was held at the Moose Hall to the music of the Commisso Brothers. The Bride's mother received wearing a floor length gown and coat of yellow and white flow- ered chiffon with a corsage of orange Carna- tions, her accessories in white. The Groom's mother received in a floor length gown of Lilac flowered crepe enhanced with a long puffed sleeved and chiffon top. She wore white accessories and a pink Carnation corsage After the bride and groom cut the cake, they circulated among the guests and dis- tributed the cake personally. The Guest Book was carried by Miss Carol Huard of Schreiber. At the close of the reception the bride tossed her bouguet which was caught by Miss Debbie Pople. The Bride's garter was the treasurer trophy of Larry St. Jean. The Bride wore a street length Turquoise blue dress with navy blue accessories, her corsage was yellow roses for her honeymoon trip. The newly married couple travelled to Thunder Bay en route to Edgely, Sask. where they will take up residence. John is employ- ed by Jim Rogers, a former resident of Terrace Bay. A continued page 2I
