The money was raised by the Kinsmen throu- gh the generous help of the Strand Theatre, by sponsoring 'Kinsmen Night at the Movies! on May I3th and I4th. The Kinsmen Club would at this time like to thank Terry Korzinski, manager of the Stran -d Theatre, and the Strand Theatre for their help and the use of the theatre without which this could not have been possible. The money will be used to renovate the hut. TERRACE BAY RECREATION DEPARTMENT WEEKLY REPORT SUMMER PROGRAMME DEVELOPER COMMENCES EMPLOY- MENT WITH RECREATION DEPARTMENT: The Recreation Committee is pleased to ann- ounce that Mr. Alex Vanderkam has been hired as Summer Programme Developer for the Recrea- tion Department. Alex commenced his duties this past Monday, May 26th and will continue to work until August 3Ist. ; Alex has just completed his first year in Honours Kinesiology at the University of Wat- erloo. This particular position will serve as field work for Alex in the course he is taking. Alex will be concentrating on the following programmes and anyone who is interested in these programmes should feel free to contact Alex at the Recreation Office: tennis, minor fastball and pre-school swimming programme. We welcome Alex to the Recreation Depart- ment staff and hope that he finds this summer a challenging and rewarding experience.
