Mrs. Dorothy Rummery, reporting for McCaus- land Hospital Board stated the new quarters for doctors are to be ready for July first. The Ministry of Environment stated costs in connection with remedial work on town roads will be paid directly to the township. The Kool Kats Snowmobile Club requested per- mission to cut a trail, from behind the Club at Walker Lake to the old ski jump in Schreiber adjacent to the Lake Road hill and council is agreeable, with the club to look into owner- ship of property in the area and make their own arrangements. The by-law, approved by the Municipal Board was passed, for construction of the new dam at Cooks Lake. A progress payment of $40,375.00 was paid to the Scorpio Engineering for work done, to date on the dam, with a hold-back of $7125.00 on the total cost. It takes a long time to collect 1060 coup- ons, but that's what the officers and staff of C.P. Rail did in Schreiber, purchasing a 25 cup percolator which they raffled for funds for the new McCausland Hospital. Mrs. Dorothy Rummery, of the Hospital Board drew the winning ticket for Donald Green. Richard stillito, Division Engineer presented the urn to Mrs. Green - her husband was out of town on Company affairs. A.A. Small, the superintendant then presented a cheque for $125.00 to Mrs. Rummery. LEGION BOWLING The wind-up will be held on May 30th. Cocktail hour 6 p.m., smorgasbord at 7 p.m. followed by the presentation of trophies and prizes.
