The Flowers of Hope Campaign will be held during National Week for the Mentally Retard- - ed, May IIth through I7th. In making the announcement, Mr. LeBlanc . pointed out that the Flowers of Hope program is a nation-wide attempt to focus public att- ention on the increasing progress and promise of Canada's 640,000 mentally retarded child- ren and adults. Although mental retardation is the greatest single chronic disability of our children to- day, significant strides are being made into the prevention and the amelioration of mental retardation.
