Two tick-H et outlets have been established in both Terr- ace Bay and Schreiber and it is strongly rec- ommended that you pick up your tickets as soon as possible. If living in Schreiber, you can pick up your tickets at the Hudson's Bay Store or Cebrarios Hardware.' ¥ NATIONAL -MUSEUM QF CANADA TO VISIT TERRACE BAY APRIL 26th - 28th: On Saturday, April 26th, the National Mus- eum of Canada will be setting up their museum- obile in the Curling Rink parking lot in order that the general public can see the displays. This service is being offered at no cost. On Monday, April 28th, the museumobile will be visiting the schools. ¥ - The museumobile will be open to the public on Saturday, April 26th from I0:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Curling Rink parking lot. SUMMER EMPLOYMENT: A full page ad will appear in next week's paper designating the positions available for summer employment. DIRECTORS OF RECREATION MEETING: NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO ASSOCIATION ~- SPRING During this week, the membership of the Northwestern Ontario Directors of Recreation Association will be meeting here in Terrace Bay. The meeting will commence on the evening of Tuesday, April I5th, and terminate on Fri- day afternoon, April I8th. During the course of the Spring meeting, many topics will be dis- cussed on various Recreation services affect- ing communities in Northwestern Ontario. It is expected that approximately 30 people will be attending this meeting in Terrace Bay. ONTARIO EDUCATION COMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY - PUBLIC MEETING: ; Please refer to the ad on page 5 for de- tails regarding a public meeting involving staff members of the 0.E.C.A. The executive director of the 0.E.Collsy Mr ..Ide, and the liaison officer, Mr. Dodge, will be in atten- dance at this meeting on April 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the Lake Superior Public School Terr- ace Bay campus gymnasium. Anyone in the comm- unity who would like to voice his opinion on the services of the O0.E.C.A. or find out more about what the O.E.C.A. can do for us should plan to attend this meeting. STUDIO LAB THEATRE TO VISIT TERRACE BAY: Arrangements have been made between the loc ~al schools and the Recreation Department to sponsor Studio Lab Theatre in Terrace Bay in June. At this point in time we are simply awaiting confirmation of the date for the per- formances and as soon as this information is received, it will be publicized. There will be an afternoon performance geared for the elementary school and an evening performance geared for the secondary school students and the general public. COMMUNITY CALENDAR - BUSINESS RESPONSE REQUIRED: A number of weeks ago, the Recreation Off- ice forwarded information to local businesses regarding the possibility of implementing a community calendar on a weekly basis in the Terrace Bay News. Thus far only 4 businesses have responded favourably. More business par- ticipation will be required to see this idea become a reality. This topic will be discuss- ed at the Chamber of Commerce meeting this Thursday and it is hoped that more businesses will participate.
