Davis of Schreiber and Jean Mark DAVIS-SANTERRE VOWS EXCHANGED Carnations and roses adorned the communion table in~St. Andrew's United Church in Schrei- ber on February 22nd for the wedding of Leslie Mary Hayne Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Santerre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jean J. Santerre of Terrace Bay. The double ring ceremony, hich took place at 5 p.m. was solemnized by the Rev. C. Mather. Mrs. George Lengyel was the organist. The bride, given in marriage by her father chose a floor length gown of pale green and white lace, over matching underdress in match- ing green silk and scoop neckline, and Empire waistline. A band of white eyelet lace, thre- aded with green satin ribbon, marked the front of the gown, from neckline to hem and edged the frills on the full short sleeves. Tiny flowers clusters formed her headdress and she carried a nosegay of Pink Roses and Carnations edged with lace, with long green satin stream- ers. Her only jewellery was an heirloom neck- § lace of gold and pearls which had belonged to ¥ her grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Hiller. § Miss Judy Lengyel, the bridesmaid, wore a i long gown-of yellow silk organza, in pale yell- ow, embroidered with tiny green flowerets, whi-~ ch also edged the full flounced hem of the ; 1 skirt, the yoke of the bodice complemented by a mandarin collar, and the cuffs of"the short puffed sleeves. Her nosegay was a single chr- @& sythanmum, in mauve, with white carnations, : lace-edged, with yellow streamers.. : » Allan Gilmour, cousin of the groom, was the = best man, and Paul Santerre, brother of the : groom, and Larry Davis brogher of the Bride were ushers. Following the ceremony the wedding dinner was served in the Restaurant LeBlanc, with the ! toast to the bride proposed by her brother, 3 Jody Davis. For the evening reception the bride's moth- er received in a rose floral chiffon gown, her corsage of white pink-tipped carnations. The groom's mother chose a knit gown in yellow and white, with corsage of gold-tipped white carna- tions. i The bride and groom spent their honeymoon in Thunder Bay and will make their home in Terrace Bay. In addition to the many friends from Terrace Bay attended the wedding were Roy Davis of Tor- onto, brothers of the bride, Mrs. Art Baker and sons Morris & Bobby of Kapuskasing, aunt and : cousins of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Hector Brisson of Thunder Bay.
