Councillor Hale brought forth discussion of shovelling snow onto the streets being pro- hibited. The penalty for such an act will be checked and the police department will be informed to enforce this by-law. Councillor Helmink reported she had many complaints as to the icy conditions of the town streets. She had referred these com-- plaints to Councillor Brassard (Public Works) and asked the citizens to write letters to Council. No letters had been received to date. ; Councillor Brassard discussed with Council the sncwmobile situation in town. Incidents of predestrians almost being hit, machines operating at high speeds and on prohibited grounds, were all discussed and this matter will be discussed further. Council is presently negotiating with a dentist to come to Terrace Bay. If a settle- ment can be reached, we hope td have a per- manent dentist in town by this summer. A discussion on the handling and pick-up of garbage and its containers will be discuss- ed with the contractor.
