HENDERSON - ROSSPORT, ONTARIO ALTAR SOCIETY MEETING Mrs. Herb Legault presided for the December meeting of the St. Berchman's Altar Society We -dnesday evening when the members met for the regular monthly meeting. Guest speaker was Rev. Father Meyer, parish priest, who led in the opening prayers. Mrs. Legault welcomed speaker and members. Mrs. Schelling read the minutes, corresponden- ce and presented the financial statement, whi- ch were approved as read. It was unanimously agreed that the society would not hold any projects till after the New Year. : . Father Meyer spoke on the Cemetery Act and its clauses. As the church organization as always looked after the maintenance of the cem- etery and plots have never been sold it was found difficult to understand why these rules were applicable to the villagers. Graves are always opened and closed voluntarily by neigh- bours and friends. Eleven suggested rules and regulations for small cemeteries were discussed and members decided to compile rules, etc. to be submitted to the Ministry early in the new year. Mrs. Legault thanked Father Meyer for his assistance Following adjournment luncheon was served. Jleace lay you and yours be greatly blessed by the spiritual radiance of Christmas. For your valued patronage we express sincere Yuletime thanks. YOUR LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE AN PALM DAIRIES pps iii SLE BERS Lad hl ee i 2 nl NM RT RE eT ht a is SRR a Ra oo fine RE Se Ey
