Some operators are running their machines with an expired licence plate. The plates ran out on October 31st, 1974 and new plates are to be purchased before the machines can be op- erated on or off a highway. If you are operat- ing your machine on private property or stric- tly bush trails, you are required, by law, to register them by means of a current year lic- ence plate. If you plan on using them on the Streets in town, Schreiber or Terrace Bay, you are required, by law, to produce when stopped by a Police Officer: (a) valid driver's licence (b) registration of snow-machine (licence pl: no.), (c) insurance. Failure to comply with any or all of the above will lead to cha- rges being laid under the Motorized Snow Veh~- icle Act of Ontario.
