TOWN TALK CANCELLED Due to the fact that a majority of the can- didates for Council and School Trustees in Terrace Bay have been returned to office by acclamation, Town Talk has been cancelled. We would urge every citizen to cast his or her vote in the upcoming Municipal Election on Monday, December 2nd. --- Terrace Bay Chamber of Commerce DONATION TO HOSPITAL BUILDING FUND Mrs. Jean Crook, President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion, Branch IO09,- Schreiber, presented a $500.00 donation to the McCausland Hospital Building Fund, when Joan Nugent and Rena McAdam met with them and mem- bers of the Royal Canadian Legion at their November IIth functions. COMMENT In last weeks issue of the T: r. e Bay Hews Contractor E.T. Yates put a noti:i: to the Terrace Bay Residents that effective November I9th "all garbage must be put in proper ccn- taine¥s, which is garbage cans or plastic bags. Garbage put in boxes will be left. Empty boxes must be cut up and tied". After reading this an inquiry was made at the Municipal Office to see the contract the town has with Mr. Yates. Bill Hanley immediately phoned the contrac- tor to get clarification on this notice. Tle contractor stated that many houseowners leave the tops of the boxes open so that when the garbage person picks up the boxes after & heavy rain the bottom falls out and garbage is strewn all over the ground. Mr. Hanley then read the contract to the contractor and an understanding was reached that as long as the boxes are properly sealed they will be picked up.
