Three couples were honoured with a farewell party by the Terrace Bay Area Hydro Club, Friday evening in the Curling Club. Arrangements were made by President Don Kelly of Schreiber and Jack Phillips acted as Master of Ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs. Watson Slomke will be residing in Thessalon where Mr. Slomke has already begun his new duties. Mr. and Mrs. Don Martin of Schreiber return to Cameron Falls soon to tske up residence there, and Mr. and Mrs. Eine Harkonen of Terrace Bay will be residing in Thunder Bay. At this party the group welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Rapke who have arrived from Ear Falls and have taken up residence here, and look forward to welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bouvier, now residing in Schreiber and Mr. and Mrs. Don O'Neil (nee Jean Stuart) of Kekabeka Falls who will be arriving shortly. Legion Official Opening - The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, Terrsce Bay, held their official opening on Saturday afternoon, at 4 p.m. David Gunter, President of the Branch, welcomed those who hed come to participate in the ceremony. Head table guests were introduced by D. Gunter, and sev- eral called upon to say a few words. These included Distric Commender Gural, Jack Stokes, M.L.A., Keith Penner, M.P. The Red Dog Inn of Terrace Bey is starting to take shape. Under construction by Tom Jones Construction, the new motel will have 20 units, a Dining Lounge and Cocktail Lounge.
