PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 2, 1974 TERRACE BAY TOWN TOPICS Mr. Ed Deibel, Chairman of the New Province Committee for Northern Ontario stopped in at the News Office last Thursday. Mr. Deibel is presently touring Northern Ontario with a pet- ition asking that northerns receive the right to vote on the decision of a new province. He left North Bay on September 9th and will return there on October 30th. Mr. Deibel left some literature with us outlining the aim of his tour and objectives of the committee. Anyone interested in read- ing this material may pick it up at the News Office. Mr. Deibel also urges anyone to write to him at: New Province Committee, P.O. Box 783, North Bay, Ontario. REQUEST ANSWERED After reading our new "In the News" column in last week's paper, Mrs. Yvonne Vienneau came to the News Office with a picture and a page from a magazine of some sort - dated I950. The pictures on this page had been marked through the years, so we could not reproduce them - these were of the "Legion Barn Dance". Other articles were = "St. Martin's Church Officially Opened", "Report on Schreiber Con- tinuation School", Welcome to Terrace Bay New- comers - Kimberly-Clark friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shirrif and family will be happy to know that the Shirriffs are now residents of Terrace Bay where Bob is Technical Superin- tendent for the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company "New Stork Club Memberships - To Mr. & Mrs. Bob Kemp, a daughter on November I5th; To Mr. & Mrs. J. Mousseau, a daughter on November 20; To Mr. & Mrs. Chris Demas, a daughter on Dec- ember Ist; To Mr. & Mrs. Beggie Thorsteinson, a daughter on January I2th."
