SEPTEMBER 5, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 CUB-SCOUT NEWS During the past year, because no leadership was available and parental interest lacking, several scouting groups along the North Shore became inactive. Unless more interest is shown locally the Terrace Bay Group (Cubs, Scouts) will also become part of the inactive list, Up to now we have been fortunate in having a few people to act as leaders and others to serve on the group committee. However, becausel of other committments many of these people are not able to give as much time as is necessary to Scouting. It is therefore important that we get sufficient leadership as well as people to serve on the Group Committee in order to provide the boys with an adequate scouting pro- gram. As a parent of a cub, scout or venturer are you willing to help? Do you know of anyone who can help either as a leader or on the Group Committee? You are urged to attend the next GROUP COM- MITTEE MEETING in the SCOUT HALL on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10th at 7:00 P.M. at which time these problems and others will be discussed and hope- fully some solutions arrived at.
