All swimmers and parents are urg- ed to attend this presentation. Highlight of this programmes will be the presentation of the Duriez Trophy. This troph- y is awarded annually to the swimmer who best represents the following categories: - swimming ability (overall); - awards attain- ed in current year; - performance at swim meets; - volunteer assistance with swim pro- gramme; - general behavior at pool; - improve--- ment during year; - attendance at classes. In addition to the Duriez Trophy, crests, badges and pins will be presented to those who successfully completed their Red Cross and Royal Life tests in July and August. If the weather is favourable, the Synchonized swim team will perform! Plan to attend. TENNIS FENCING =< VOLUNTEERS : As advertised in the last two issues of the News, volunteers were requested to leave their name and phone number at the Recreation Office. Thanks to the following people who responded to the request: Cam Burgess, Mike Adey, David Ramsay, Vic Mazzone, Debbie Cvitkovich, Keith Gorman, Nick Chopty, Charlie Wise and Ron Lang. The above people will be contacted either by the end of this week or early next week to outline date and time of the first work session Incidently, anyone else in the community who may want to help, we still are accepting names. HOCKEY COACHES - PLEASE READ: On Saturday, November 9th, the Ontario Hock- ey Association in co-operation with the Terr- ace Bay Minor Hockey Association and the Terr- ace Bay Recreation Department will be sponsor- ing a Coaches Clinic - level 2. This Coaches Clinic is part of the development programme that the C.A.H.A. have set up nationally, so coaches in Terrace Bay and Schreiber will have a good opportunity to attend this Clinic which will be held in Terrace Bay, on November 9th. More details to be announced. The twosome came in with a net 65 to edge runners-up Iris Armstrong and Betty Birchall from Rossmere, who were at 66." SHOWER HONOURS BRIDE-ELECT PAT MEGRAW A wine and cheese come and go shower was held at the home of Mrs. Donna Gorham on Aug- ust 27th, to honour bride-elect, Pat Megraw. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Audrey Smith, Mrs. Barb Wise and Mrs. Peggy Wellings. Pat and her mother, Mrs. Jean Megraw, were presented with Baby Mum corsages on their arr- ival.: : A recipient of many lovely gifts, Pat was assisted in opening them by her cousin, Myrna Miller of Toronto. Wine and cheese, coffee and sweet rolls were served by the hostesses. Mr. Stan Megraw from Guelph is vacationing at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.
