SUPPORT REQUESTED IN COMMUNITY PROJECT: The notice on page 8 of this week's News re- quests that anyone interested in volunteering their time to erect a 12' high chain link fence at the Tennis Courts, call the Recreation Off- ice to leave their name and phone number. The courts have now been asphalted and the next step is to erect the fence. If all goes well in terms of community response, the cour- ts could be available for play for a period of time in September. - Be sure to turn to page 8 for details. Terrace Bay is getting two new tenn- is courts. The asphalting is now com- plete and once the twelve foot high chain link fence and the lining of the courts is finished they should be avail- able to the public. Recreation Director, Jerry Dupas said that he hopes to have everything completed by the middle of September so that tennis buffs can have 'a few weeks of playing time. Plans for the future include. an in- troductory tennis clinic, the formation of a tennis club, and making of the fa- cilities available to the schools. The total cost of the courts is es- timated at approximately $I0,000. with government grants to offset the total cost.
