AUGUST 8, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 5 TERRACE BAY. RECREATION NEWS PLAYGROUND NEWS: It was movie time for the 7 to I2 year old Playground kids last Wednesday night. Walt Disney's "The Hound That Thought He Was A Raccoon" was shown, and except for one horri- fying moment when the leaders thought they were showing the second part before the first one, the movie went very well and was enjoyed by everyone. Special thanks to Mr. Falzetta for being the projectionist for the evening. Friday morning the 5 & 6 year olds had two surprises = ice cream cones at a local restaur- ant then cartoon movies shown at the Rec Cen- tre. Although they weren't the horror-type movies Emmit Houston wanted to see, he and the rest of the kids still enjoyed the films any- way. That evening the 7-9 year old kids had a bowling tournament. Many techniques were us- ed to get the ball down the middle of the all- ey and scores weren't all that high but it was still a lot of fun. Another Pre-Teen record dance was held Friday night in the public school gym, with Tracey Bulawka winning the record draw and more prizes won by others in various game dances. continued page 6 ......
