(Wannie) Gellert is convalescing, LEGION AUXILIARY 27TH ANNIVERSARY The Schreiber Women's Auxiliary to the Roy- al Canadian Legion, Branch I09, celebrated its 27th anniversary with a dinner attended by 30 followed by a social evening. Mrs. Jean Crook, president, was Master of Ceremonies, presenting Mrs. Stella Gusul, president of Terrace Bay Legion Auxiliary and other head table guests - Mrs. Beatrice McCua- ig, secretary; Mrs. Avila McBride, treasurer; Mrs. Lorraine Huard, first vice president and Mrs. Barbara Ann McLaughlin, second vice- ' president, of the Schreiber Auxiliary. 25 year membership pins were presented to Mrs. Ann Didura, Mrs. Yvonne Webb, Mrs. Earl- ine Johnson and Mrs. Emerald Paradis. Mrs. Gusul, on behalf of the Terrace Bay Auxiliary, presented a clock for use in the Legion kitchen. The dinner was catered for and served by members of the Branch. Following the dinner, Fred McColeman played for a singsong, some amusing skits, and dance numbers, were offered by the Terrace Bay group of ten. Lake Superior High School, and the town, is proud of the school's golf team, who came fir- st in the recent N.S.S.S.A.A. golf tournament held in Marathon. Not only did they win the championship but : they exhibited good sportsmanship and self- discipline. Team A consisted of Ken Hanley, Dave Mark Dashkewytch, Mike Gerlach and Mark lach.
