PAGE I6 TERRACE BAY NEWS JUNE I2, I974 ROWLAND-BOUDREAU VOWS EXCHANGED A wedding of local interest took place on May 25th, 1974 at 7 p.m. in London, when Claud- ette Marie Boudreau was united in marriage with Michael Charles Rowland. : Father Murphy officiated at the Nuptial Mass in Brescia College Chapel. Claudette is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Boudreau of Terrace Bay. Michael is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Rowland of Mississauga. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her mother and father, and the groom by his mother and father. f David Mercier of Terrace Bay played musical selections on the guitar during the ceremony. The bride's floor length gown was fashioned of white Fortrel Jersey, embossed with a blue and yellow flower motif. The dress had a ruff- led 'cape collar, V-neckline and A-line skirt. Her headdress was a white floppy brim Picture hat. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses, baby carnations and stephanotis. Lita Marie Boudreau, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honour. She wore a floor len- gth blue knit Jersey dress with white lace trim on the bodice. Lori Hisson, sister of the groom, was gowned in a long pale green crepe styled in slim lines The other bridesmaid Janet Fox wore a black and white Polka dot crepe gown, trimmed with white, and all three girls carried baskets of . daisies. ' The best man was Walter Lenny and the ushers were Stuart Shaw and Robert Hisson. Scripture readings were given by the bride's brother, Mark Boudreau of Montreal. For the reception held at the Golden Pheas- ant Banquet Hall, the bride's mother wore a floor length pink lacy knit shirt waist gown, trimmed\with pink collar and cuffs and an orch- id corsage. Mrs. Rowland wore a long slim gown of mauve and silver and an orchid corsage. Mr. Paul Boudreau, the bride's uncle, gave the toast to the bride and groom. Michael and Claudette passed the wedding cake which had been made and decorated by the bride, to the guests. out of town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. H. Boudreau, Mr. and Mrs. S. Rowland, Mr. and Mrs. K. Rowland, Mr. and Mrs. H. Eastham, Windsor; Mr. and Mrs. G. Fry, Caroline Dubs, Nancy Wigle, Amhurstburg; Muriel and John Yewman, Kitchener. Claudette was honoured at a Bridal Shower at the home of Mrs. Lori Hisson. For travelling, the bride donned a pale yellow Polyester dress with pink roses, trim- med with ecru lace around the collar and on the bodice. Mr. and Mrs. Rowland will reside in London. WOMEN OF THE MOOSE NEWS Chapter 1426 Women of the Moose held their Chapter night meeting on Wed., June 5th with Senior Regent Jacqueline Sopel presiding. Minutes of the last meeting were adopted as read by Recorder, Stella Sadowick. Plans were made to have our annual wind-up supper on Wed., June I9th in the conference room at Doreen's Snack Bar. Members wishing to attend the supper please: have your money in by June I5th.
