APRIL 24, I974 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 7 MCCAUSLAND HOSPITAL ANNUAL MEETING The McCausland Hospital annual meeting took place on April I7th, in the High School audi- torium, at 8 p.m. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Rena McAdam, who welcomed all the members of the corporation who attended. Vic Mazzone read the minutes of the last annual meeting. Rena McAdam presented the President's annu- al report. Vic Mazzone presented the Administrator's annual report. Dr. A.B. Adey gave the Chief of Medical Staff's annual report. : Joan Nugent presented the President of the Auxiliary's annual report. Under new business, V. Mazzone presented the financial statements for I973 and read the auditor's report. R." McAdam reported that the Board is satis- fied with the serives of the Auditor and would recommend re-appointment. It was moved that the accounting firm of Glendinning, Jarrett, Gould and Co., Thunder Bay, be re-appointed for the hospital year 1974-75. R. McAdam reviewed the Board's decision to delete a paragraph of the Hospital by-laws which placed a maximum of 70 years on Board membership. This by-law change has been app- roved by the Ministry of Health. W.E. Cavan- augh congratulated the Board for this decis- ion on behalf of all senior citizens of the area. R. McAdam read a proposed resolution to change the legal name of the hospital. B. Stephen presented an amendment to the resolu- tion. It was moved that the name be changed from The McCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay, to The McCausland Hospital. ; Election of Board members took place, with J. Figliomeni presenting the following names on behalf of the nominating committee .-- Rena McAdam, Janice McEwen and Bruce Tilbury. Nominations from the floor were as follows: George Birch and Bernie McCracken. Each nominee came forward and presented a brief resume of their personal history, and reasons for seeking the office. The scrutineers collected and counted the ballots. A film was shown during the count. The following were elected to the Board for a 2 year term - Rena McAdam, Janice McEwen, Bernie McCracken and Bruce Tilbury with Fat Buck, Dorothy Rummery, Barry Stephen, and Doi Stewart still serving terms on the board. LAKE SUPERIOR PUBLIC SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 1874 Kindergarten Registration for September 1974 will take place on: FRIDAY, APRIL 26th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at both Schreiber and Terrace Bay Campus' Children born during the months of: January, February and March 1970 will be considered for this program on the basis of school assessment.
