Arrangements have been finalized between the of Terrace Bay and The Ministry of Environment - Waste Management Branch for the joint-use of the present Schreiber Landfill Site by both communities. The new location will be open to the public and dumping is permitted in accordance with directions posted. Certain regulations have been adopted in accord- ance with the provisions of The Waste Management Act: "Garbage" shall mean every accumulation of animal and vegetable matter, including kitchen waste, decayed fruit and vegetables, paper and rubbish material, when the same is contained in a proper receptacle and placed by fhe responsible owner in a place of clear and easy access to the Contractor for The house, store offal, prompt removal of same. The Contractor for the Township shall not be bound to collect (i) barrel containers in excess of 30 gallon capacity. (i1) cardboard boxes, newspapers and magazines (unless same are compacted and bound in bundles). (iii) any one (1) article weighing over seventy-five (75) pounds. (iv) barrel containers without a bail handle or without two (2) side handles. Garbage will continue fo be picked up twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays.
