To date, the Planning Committee have attempted to publicize details on the Carnival activities as they become available. At the time of this write-up, all details were still not confirmed for the Carnival as the next "open" meeting was scheduled for Monday evening, February I8th. : Following is a general summary of the Car- nival programme. First, a correction on what was reported in our write-up of last week. Miss Lynn Peterson will NOT be performing her ballet number during the intermission of the Figure Skating Carnival Show on Saturday, March 9th, but rather, will be the first num- ber on the Figure Skating Carnival programme following the intermission. . Thursday, March 7th: (approx. 6:I5 p.m.) - Opening Ceremonies at the Arena. - Results of Carnival Queen Contest - Results of Poster Contest i - Results of Snow Sculpture Contest (for residents) (approx. 6:45 p.m.) = Children's Costume Judging (approx. 7:I5 p.m.) = Children's Races (approx. 8:15 p.m.) - Challenge Hockey Game "Superior Oldtimers" vs Terrace Bay Bantams Friday, March 8th: - Snow Sculpture Contest (for elementary schools - to be prepared by students during afternoon) ON INCOME TAX Up to $4,000 a year may be deduct- ible for income tax purposes from your income if ygu invest it in a REGISTEREI RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN while vou alsof/guarantee yourself a monthly retir¢gment income for life.
