It was decided to again advertise meetings in the Kinette Calendar for I974. Members wishing to give Christmas gifts for the residents of the Oddfellows' and Reb- ekahs' home in Barrie were asked to turn them over to Mrs. Mavis Slater by December 6th who will take them to the home in time for the Christmas party. Mrs. Lil Harris, N.G. and Mrs. Gladys Ham- ilton V.G. presided for the meeting, the latter presenting the Sick and Visiting report. Following the meeting a Christmas penny auction was held and the Terrace Bay members served a Salad plate lunch, the table decor- ated with Christmas symbols. LEGION 223 Madam President opened the meeting with a prayer, followed by roll call and minutes of the last meeting. New member, Sue Bulawka was welcomed into the Auxiliary. The financial report was read along with reports from the various committees. Adeline Daley has purchased a first aid kit for use in the kitchen. Jean Megraw was congratulated on the good job she is doing with the football and hockey pools. Christmas Gifts will once again be sent to widows of veterans with Pam Jones doing the purchasing. 'A motion was passed to purchase a Christmas tree for the hall with Marg Duriez doing the buying. Dot Koski will convene for a Christmas din- ner for the senior citizens in Birchwood Terrace. : A letter of thanks will be sent tec the T.B. Association in Schreiber for serviettes.
