With the lens wide open, make exposures start- ing with one minute, and then cut the exposure in half (approximately) with each successive exposure until you reach I/60 second. In this way you'll make about a dozen exposures, sev- eral of which may be acceptable. Since the comet will be visible for such a long time you'll have ample opportunity to choose the best exposure range and make additional photo- graphs, if you wish. Soon you'll have an extremely rare opportun -ity. Whether you photograph or just observe this unusual phenomenon, don't let it pass un- noticed. You won't have another chance for 80,000 years. The people of Nepean are sponsoring a lottery, called the Recreaffle Nipper, to raise funds for our senior residents. To focus attention for this worthwhile goal, we will be bringing to our community, Ontario's oldest CENTURY CITIZEN to pick the winning ticket on December 7th.
