Anyone interested in attending this clinic should contact the Physical Education Department of the Lake Superior High School, Terrace Bay Campus. This is a great opportunity for interested people to become certified as basketball ref- erees. Game time 8 p.m. Thursday, November 22nd - Terrace Bay Horti- cultural Society annual meeting = large meet- ing room, Recreation Centre, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 28th - Winter Carnival Planning Committee meeting, Conference Room of Recreation Centre - 7 p.m. WOMEN OF THE MOOSE MEETING Senior Regent Jacqueline Sopel presided at the Chapter Night meeting of the Women of the Moose which was held on Wednesday, November 7. Mrs. Betty Sweet a member from Duncan, B.C. was welcomed as a guest. Minutes of the last meeting were adopted as read by Recorder, Stella Sadowick. Treas- urer's report was also read. It was reportea that our share towards the automatic dishwasher has been paid in full and that we purchase a deep freezer as our next project. The price and size of the deep freezer to be looked into and discussed at the next meet- ing. - A cash bingo will be held on December IOth with advance tickets to go on sale for 50 gal- lons of fuel oil as the door prize. Discussion took place on Christmas hampers to be given to needy families. Reports were given on the recent Octoberfest dance and pro- ceeds from the last bifigo. Meeting adjourned to meet again on November 2Ist. Raffle was won by Sadie Benko. Lovely lunch was served by Josefa Hirt and Jacqueline Sopel. SCHREIBER LEGION AUXILIARY Mrs. Georgina Davis, chairman of the nomin- ating committee, presented the new slate of officers at the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch I09, at their November 6th meeting. Jean Crook, president; Lorraine Huard, fir- st vice-president; Barbara Ann McLaughlin, second vice-president; Avila Richardson, trea- surer; Christine Dunham, warden; Maureen Cos- tall, assistant warden. This slate was accep =-ted. A hearty round of applause was given to Pat Moore, retiring treasurer, after serving in that office for four years. Ethel Nesbitt, monthly draw convener, ported Gerry Nicol had won the last draw. Gail Welbourne volunteered to convene the supper at the joint installation party. Earline Johnson volunteered to convene the refreshments and Georgina Davis select the gifts for the children's Christmas Party on December I6th from 2-5 p.m. open to infants and children up to 8 years old. A contribution was made to the Deer Lodge veterans' Christmas tree fund. Carpeting was ordered for the club room.
