Boudreau to Ad Hoc Committee on "Break-even" adjustment figures. December Board Meeting: Ad Hoc Committee's re- commendation on rental structure. January I5th, I974: Tenants advised of Rental Rates, effective September I, I974, by Business Administrator. Considerable discussion re: Sale of Board- owned Residences centred on desirability of selling houses, method of appraisal, various purchase plans, re-purchase procedures, and asset or liability, during which time Vice- Chairman H.J. Coe accupied the Chair. A resolution that: An Ad Hoc Committee be formed to review Board Policy for selling hous- es to teaching staff was defeated. The pres- ent policy "Sale of Board Houses to Teaching Staff" remains intact. The Committee of the Whole Board reportéd that a delegation comprised of: A.S. Gordon, Chairman, R.P. Ungar, Past Chairman, G. Fair- service, Budget Committee Chairlady, R.A. Cressman, Director of Education, (with R. Acourt as an alternate delegate in the event of absence of one of the above), is to journey to Toronto for a meeting with the Honourable Thomas Wells, Minister of Education, to dis- cuss ceilings and weighting factors as related to The Lake Superior Board of Education. The meeting is to be arranged by R.R. Steele, Reg- ional Director of Education, whose assistance and company to the session in Toronto is to be requested. An interim report on E.T.V. Aims and Objec- tives was presented by M. Averill, Committee Chairlady. Discussion on airing locally produced pro- grams evolved Board consensus that all such programs must be reviewed by a committee (of which at least one member must be a Lake Super -ior Board of Education Trustee) to ensure that nothing of an offensive or otherwise un- desirable nature is broadcast. Mr. Richard Kitto - Lake Superior High School was nominated for assignment to a pos- ition with the Department of National Defence in Europe for two years, commencing with the school year 1974-75. Trustee J. Nugent wish- ed her vote in opposition recorded. Mr. A. Bruce Gordon of the Lake Superiot Public School was nominated for teaching duties in Europe with the Department of Nation -al Defence for a two year period commencing with the school year 1974-75. Trustee J. Nugent wished her vote in oppos -ition recorded. In future years, the Director of Education and Principals are authorized to'study the applications for nomination and present a recommendation to the Trustees based on qualifications, Board priorities, school needs, etc. In accordance with Ontario Regulation I9I, Section 42, Subsection 6, the following Clergymen or Lay Persons designated by them will be permitted to give Religious Education in the Marathon Public School at such times within the periods referred to in Section 42, as are agreeable to both the Principal and the Clergymen or Lay Persons designated by the Clergymen: Rev. Charles Graham - St. John's United Church; Rev. David Woodman = Marathon Baptist Church; Rev. B.A. Campbell - Holy Saviour Church; Rev.
