EVENING PRAYER =~ 7.00 P.M. - Steel River Curve - continued curve and vehicles, because of excessive curve entry speeds, are pushed by centrifugal forces to the outside of the curve onto the shoulder, where drivers lose control of their vehicles. Since the presently established traffic con- trol does not seem to have sufficient impact, we have now recommended that the curve be more conspicuously marked by road-edge delineators, the advance warning signs be changed, steel beam guide rails be erected and that the road shoulder on the outside of the curve be paved in what we found was the most critical area. We are hopeful that our measures will be instrumental in alleviating the present acci- dent situation and we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. R.W. Kuhk Regional Traffic Superintendent" SHOWER HONOURS BRIDE-ELECT A very well attended Bridal Shower was held at the Moose Hall on Tuesday evening, July 3I, in honour of Miss Marilyn Benko, whose wedding will take place on August IIth. Marilyn and her mother were greeted at the door and each presented with a corsage. Mari- lyn was seated under a canopy of balloons fill- ed with confetti, which showered down on her. She was assisted in opening her gifts by her sister Valerie. Mrs. Anne Stachiw made a beautiful bonnet from the colourful bows on the gifts. Tea and coffee and a delicious lunch were served from a head table centred by a wedding doll and a cake made like a pair of inter- twined wedding rings. Hostesses for the shower were Mesdames S. Sadowick, M. Woodruff, A. Pelto, A. Daley, J. Roberts, G. Salesse and A. Szpak.
