At a recent meeting of the Cancer Society, Mrs. Marg Godin reported total monies raised in Campaign was $772.25 and $323.00 was reali- zed for In Memoriam Cards during the past year As Campaign Chairman she thanked those ladies of Schreiber, Rossport and Walker's Lake in making the Campaign a success. Eva Gordon, at her summer home at Selim, was hostess for a gay party of thirty when the pre-| sent Kinettes entertained charter members and other former members during the evening. Inez McCuaig in whose home the Club was organized, presented a cheque to Edith Cosgrove, Presi- dent, to be used for their projects. A buffet lunch was served. Mrs. Cosmo Figliomeni of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Larry Crawford of Winni- peg were special guests at the occasion. ROSSPORT TOWN TOPICS Laura Ray celebrated her tenth birthday on Saturday when her mother gave a weiner and marshmallow roast topped off with a decorated birthday cake, ice cream and chocolate bars. Among her many gifts was a record player by her brother Brian. Those present were Jeannie and Denise St.Jean of Schreiber, Terry Ann and Anita Bouchard, Anna, Viana Bain, Vera and Jacqueline Goodchild, Della Mushqush, Tracy Wilde and Eva-Marie Lanigan. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rcchon and sons of Hend- 'ricks, B.C. are visiting Mrs. Rochon's parents Mr. and Mrs. Mac Hebelit and other relatives in the district. Among those who were Lakehead visitors this week were Donny Ray, Raymond Goodchild, William Schroeder, Leona and Vera Goodchild, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gerow, Peter Gerow, Cathy Gerow, Peter Testori, Jerry Bouchard, Mrs. C. Todesco, Mike Wannakemik, Mrs. E. Legault, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kenney, Mrs. C. Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. L. Ibey. 'Mr. and Mrs. P. Martin and family of Loon Lake have moved here where Mr. Martin is the CPR section foreman. Mr. and Mrs. C. Wilde and family have left for Thunder Bay where Mr. Wilde is taking a course at the Lakehead University. Peter Legault of Thunder spent the holiday weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Le- gault. : Olav Sundland of Thunder Bay was a business visitor here on the weekend. . Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bruley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bruley and family have arrived at their cottage for the summer season. Their mother, Mrs. Grace Bruley, spent the holiday weekend with them. Miss Colleen Kenney of Kelowna, B.C. is visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kenney and other relatives. Mr. Adolph King made his trophy for his only grandson, Scott King who played in the Pee Wee league at Chapleau this year. He used the hoc -key puck used in the last game, made two hock- ey stickets out of brass, flanked the hockey figure on puck with a pair of skates. All with a polish stainless steel back and mounted on a hardwood base. Mr. King was a noted North Shore hockey player himself.
