SUMMER PLAYGROUND COURSE: This is a reminder to parents and children that the Summer Playground program begins Tues- day, July 3rd, according to the following time table: Age Group Time 5 & 6 year olds 9:30 a.m. - II:00 a.m. 7 - 9 year olds 5:30. p.m, = 7:00 p.m. I0 - I2 year olds 6:30 p.m: - 8:00 p.m. I3 years and over 8:00 p.m. ~ 9:00 p.m. Children are to meet at the Curling Lounge at the specified time of their age group. TEEN PROGRAM: A program for teenagers 13 years and over will be held every evening from 8 until 9, starting Tuesday, July 3rd. This program will include shuffleboard, basketball, macrame, ba- tik, special events and other activities. Teen- agers are to meet in the Curling Lounge at their specified time. SCAVENGER HUNT: Since a great number of our art and crafts are made from "junk" materials, the Playground program will be holding a Scavenger Hunt this Thursday, July 5th, in the evening. Articles to be collected include such things as jars, egg cartons, toilet paper rolls, ribbon, etc., and we would greatly appreciate it if parents could save these materials for us. MEN'S PHYSICAL FITNESS AND HEALTH CLUB The Terrace Bay Recreation Department, in conjunction with other interested persons, are attempting to form a Men's Physical Fitness and Health Club. : At the present time we are interested in those who may desire such a club in Terrace Bay and this is the reason for this article at this time. .Hoping the club does get off the ground, it is certain that the programme will not commence until Fall, so if you are interested, contact G. Dupas, Recreation Office, David Falzetta, a graduate from Michigan State Physical Education and Ron Lang - 3889. It is hoped all equipment will be available to give each individual the type of exercise he desires, as well as per- sonal instruction by Mr. Falzetta. The success of any venture is determined by membership participation. As this is strictly an interest survey, it is hoped there will be sufficient names submitted in order to further the organi- zing of a club of this nature. Please submit your name prior to September 1st, 1973 to any of the persons mentioned a- bove. If enough interest is indicated, all those who submitted their names will be con- tacted after Sept. 1/73 to officially register if they so wish. MINOR FASTBALL PROGRAMME'73: All league schedules will be sent out and circulated to all ball players this week. The co-captaing of each team will be responsible for circulating the team lists and schedules to all of their players. If you have not re- ceived your information by this Thursday, July 5th, call the Recreation Office at -3542. Some of the league games will commence this Thursday, July 5th, at St. Martin's School diamond, while the majority of games will be in full swing next week. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN MEN'S BASKETBALL: Anyone interested in participating in a men's basetball league, simply leave your name at the Recreation Office at 3542. This league is primarily designed for anyone I8 years and over and will operate roughly during the mon- ths of July and August. TRACK AND FIELD: The Terrace Bay Recreation Department, in a continuing effort to provide a program of Track and Field in the summer, will again be operating a Track and Field program this sum- mer. Anyone regardless of age who is inter- ested in taking part in a Track and Field program can contact Pat Smith at the Recrea- tion Office at 3542. Well-trained people in Track and Field will be brought in to the community this summer to assist in the operation of this program. ART TREK TO VISIT TERRACE BAY: On July I2th, 13th and I4th, Art Trek will be visiting Terrace Bay. The team will work out of the Curling Lounge and this program is available to anyone I2 years of age and over. Special sessions will be set up for the teenagers and adults. More information will appear in next week's News. COMING EVENTS: July 5th July I2th, I3th and I4th - Art Trek, Curling Lounge. - Minor Fastball program commences.
