The beginners pool will also assist in our present instructional program by allowing shor -er children to take part in the program. The pool is 20 feet by 30 feet and is I8 inches in depth at the shallow end and 30 in- ches in depth at the deep end. Parents will be allowed to accompany their children while using the beginners pool. The only additional regulation that must be follow- ed is that no shoes be worn on the deck. Oth- er regulations that apply to the use of the 25 meter pool will also apply to -the beginners pool. COMING EVENTS: June 20th, Wednesday - Registration deadline for swimming and minor ball program. June 29, 30, July Ist - Canada Day program - details of program to be announced later. June 30th - Canada Day "Youth Dance" Memorial Arena - 9 p.m. to midnight. Band - Black Lightning. July 2nd - Monday - Summer playground program starts, Curling Lounge. July I2, I3, I4th - Art Trek - further details to be announced. LADIES GOLF NEWS Tuesday, June I2th saw eight of our ladies swing out with their clubs, to open the new season with our first twilite tournament. P. Wellings taking low gross, Jan Hall and O. Adam splitting low net, M. Philips low. hole and M. Pluta high hole. Following the tournament a meeting was held to select a new board of directors for the ye- ar, with lunch served later by M. Gander. holes. On Sunday, June I7th, the new executive met Pin Rounds start June 24th at II a.m. 1I8 BOWLING ASSOCIATION BANQUET J. Figliomeni acted as Master of Ceremonies to open this years Annual Bowling Wind-Up. Mr. D. Burton said Grace and the Toast to the Queen. After the introduction of guests prizes were awarded after which dancing followed to the music of Bill Megraw & Orchestra. This year 300 pins were awarded to D. Gar- vin, S. Sadowick, F.
