COMMUNITY CHURCH L.A, MEETING The Afternoon Group of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Community Church met on Monday afternoon, October 16th in the Church hall. Mrs. June Schritt, chairman, welcomed all the ladies including one new member, Mrs. Anne Pelto. Mrs. Chadwell took the Worship Service. The next meeting, on November 20th will have the ladies packing for Crippled Civilians in Toronto. Any one having old toasters, irons, lamps, etc. which can be repaired by the C.C. may be picked up, by calling Mrs, Lil Harris at 3241. These items can be repaired and sold, thereby creating work and profit for the Crippled Civilians. Lunch was served by Mrs. Hilda Heibert and Mrs. Lil Harris. TEA HONOURS JESSIE RATCHFORD ON DEPARTURE A come and go farewell tea was held at the home of Mrs, Lil Harris on Monday evening, October 23rd in honour of Mrs. Jessie Ratchford, who will soon leave Terrace Bay to make her home in Thunder Bay. Co-hostesses with Mrs, Harris were Mesdames Dene Clancy, Elva McMillan and Marg Duriez. Jessie was presented with a lovely purse from her many friends who called to bid her farewell.
